Some places still fulfil every postcard cliché. Picture a freestanding 1855 winemaker's home, at the end of the village square in idyllic Neffiès. A house full of character, with historic cement tiles, high stucco ceilings and French balconies. No direct neighbours opposite (sans vis-à-vis), but a breathtaking view over the village and the Mediterranean garrigue.

Welcome to Maison La Vigneronne. On our 1,600 m² estate with private pool and generous garden, we have created a refuge that, even in the height of summer heat, always keeps a private shaded spot to breathe, thanks to its many terraces. A place to arrive, stay, and savour.

La Belétage

Welcome to the stately heart of La Vigneronne. Across 93 generous square metres, La Belétage unites the radiance of bygone days with modern design comfort. Breathe in the history through original stucco ceilings and ornate cement tiles. This light-flooded piano nobile opens onto a large east-facing terrace overlooking the picturesque village square, and elegantly through French balconies to the garden and garrigue. Two separate bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom, offer maximum privacy. The generous living and dining area forms the stylish centre: a place for inspiring conversations, shared moments of pleasure, or creative thoughts in a small circle.

L'Heure Bleu

A hidden gem full of warmth

Some places are made to be discovered. Through a hidden entrance, you reach L'Heure Bleu (40 m², ground floor). Once part of the manor apartment, this place, with its stucco ceiling, elegant French balcony and historic cement tiles, distils the feel of La Belétage in an intimate format. The view over the wild garrigue and the pool to the north dissolves the bustle of everyday life. The perfect retreat for those seeking the extraordinary, a stylish hideaway for a carefree time for two.

Here, the perfect holiday day begins with the first ray of sunlight. With its east-south orientation, this 45 m² upper-floor apartment is a place for those who love the light. A charming bedroom, a harmonious interior and a wonderfully warm, open atmosphere make this apartment a place where one simply has to be happy.

Below it, a cosy living and play corner invites you to linger, read aloud and make plans.

Some rooms have their own melody. La Bohème (55 m², upper floor) is a love letter to the unconventional and creative. Despite its impressive ceiling height, this apartment exudes the cosy, almost sheltering atmosphere of a secret attic or a Parisian artist's studio. Nothing here is off-the-shelf: the centuries-old natural stone wall and historic cement tiles set the stage for an alternative, wonderfully laid-back retro-pop interior. Two separate bedrooms offer space to dream, while the living area invites you to forget time over good music. To the west opens the view of the wild garrigue. A heart project

A German-French connection.

After 20 years together in Germany, we, Caroline, a doctor in psychology, and Alexander, designer, together with our daughter Charlotte, have returned to Caroline's French home in Neffiès. Maison La Vigneronne is the place where we bring our passions together. We are bringing this living cliché of a southern French winemaker's home from 1855, set between the blue of the Mediterranean and the wild mountains of Languedoc, back to life. We marry the historic charm of the estate with modern expectations of comfort, lifestyle and design. We know the region in all its facets and look forward to accompanying you, from January 2027, as a personal bridge into the real South of France.

  • 01 When does the house open?
    La Vigneronne opens in January 2027. Reservations are already possible.
  • 02 Which apartments accept dogs?
    Two of our five apartments (La Belétage and L'Heure Bleu) welcome dogs, with a €75 surcharge per stay for thorough cleaning.
  • 03 Is there a pool?
    Yes, the house has a private pool for the exclusive use of guests.
  • 04 How far are the nearest beaches?
    The closest beaches (Cap d'Agde, Marseillan, Sérignan) are 30 to 40 minutes by car. La Vigneronne sits between sea and mountains, away from the main tourist flows, and is an ideal base for a wide variety of activities.
  • 05 Where can one taste wine nearby?
    Neffiès lies at the heart of the Pézenas-Languedoc appellation, right next to AOC Faugères. Countless wineries and cooperative cellars are within easy reach. On request, we are happy to arrange private tastings.
  • 06 How do I book and what payment methods are accepted?
    Booking is by email after your request. A 30% deposit confirms the booking, the balance is due 60 days before arrival. Bank transfer (SEPA), credit card or PayPal.
  • 07 What is there to do with children in the region?
    Water sports along the coast, swimming in the sea, at Lac du Salagou or in the cascades of the stunning river valleys, canoeing on the Orb or the Hérault, climbing and via ferrata, mountain biking through the garrigue, exploring limestone caves such as the Grotte de Clamouse. We are happy to advise you when choosing suitable activities.
